Foreign LLC Filing

Filing a foreign LLC: what to send and where

Every state takes the foreign LLC filing differently. This site covers the mechanics: which office receives it, which application, what to attach and what to pay. If you would rather hand it off, Mainstay Filing files for $199 plus the state fee.

What goes in every filing

  • The state’s application for a foreign LLC
  • The filing fee, payable to the state
  • A registered agent’s name and in-state street address
  • In 36 states, a certificate from the home state
